The 2011 Picnic |

The picnic turned out to be a very pleasant event for us. About 50 people showed up with delicious pot luck items and had lots of hamburgers and hot dogs all evening. |

Left..Our Featured speaker, Mike Eubank with Route 66 Gold Miners club talked about gold mining and techniques of panning for gold. (more) _____________________________ Right -- Boy Scout Activities leader, Larry Tuck, from the camp in Lockwood Valley talked about Boy Scout activities, and the settlement of Lexington in Lockwood valley, which is part of our gold mining heritage. Alas, nothing is left of the town now. |
